Gum Studio is a group endeavor focused on pushing the envelope for contemporary animation, and centers underrepresented communities in the portrayal of fictional stories.

PRESENTING MINNOWZ

Minnowz is a crime-comedy OVA from the minds of electronic music artist Dirty Bird and J.J. Wong. The animated adventure stars an eclectic group of teenagers as they navigate adolescence through a bleak, more- than-late capitalist future.

Join our main character, a nameless young fisherman from an isolated rural island, as he soon becomes the fish out of water in this dystopian metropolis. Supported by an unlikely group of skaters with big hearts, our protagonist swims through this coming of age tale packed with more than enough laughter, juvenile delinquency, and bank fraud to keep your eyes glued to the screen, and tug at your heartstrings.
